There are many interpretations of the kingdom or house “divided” as related in the Gospels. But Luke clearly places that statement after relating Jesus parable about persistence in asking for help. Isn’t every human being loved by the Father? Your St. Christopher’s Food Bank is available to all who come knocking - 3 days a week - all year long. Your generosity is simply amazing. Currently we could use canned tuna and chicken, canned beef stew, boxed rice and peanut butter and jelly. ”For everyone who asks receives, and...everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luke 11: 10)
Heartfelt thanks to all who donated to send our musicians to the One Call Institute. Please pray for Anthony, Adrianna, Alice and Maryalice as they take part in this experience June 25-30.
It is with much thanks that we bid you farewell, Father Giuliano. You have helped our Parish stay on task these last few months. Your ability to see “the big picture” and get things done efficiently is second to none. We know that you will find success in your new assignment at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Seaford, DE. We pray God will continue to bless us here at St. Christopher and will keep you in prayer throughout this transition time.

The Hymn, “Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty” by Reginald Heber (died 1826) maybe should be our morning prayer! It reminds us that no matter how “dark” the world appears, we should look at all the good in the world and its people. We have the Holy Spirit in us! The good we do for OUTREACH, the food bank and other works, is God’s work “... All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea.”

Christian generosity with food is a universal language understood by all. The St. Christopher's OUTREACH Food Bank is in need of white and brown rice as well as canned tuna and chicken. When you pick up one of these items, why not say a prayer for those who don’t have the funds to go shopping this week. “ I am the vine, you are the branches.....This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” (John 15: 1 and 12)
