New Years!!! Football, family and lots of food!!! Try gathering your family for a quick prayer “Let us as a family remember those who are not as blessed by God as we are....and let us remember this throughout the year“ Look in the bulletin for opportunities to reach out to others in need! (I am plugging for our next Habitat date on 20 January 2018). There is a great song (lest you forget your purpose in the world) which you can find on CD and on YouTube… ”Here I am Lord, Is it I Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go Lord, if You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart.” James Kilbane
Despite the snow on Dec. 15th, many volunteers came to HM monthly Food Pantry to serve 72 QAC residents that came for much needed food. The next one will be Fri. Jan. 19th. May God bless your kindness. This past week and Christmas Day were St. Christopher's days to staff and feed the homeless shelter guests at the winter shelter at KIUMC. Thank you for giving your time, your delicious, healthy meals, and providing breakfast and lunch supplies. It is hard to be in a shelter, especially during the holidays. And yet you all made it a very special week. The guests there are so appreciative! Wishing everyone a Blessed Christmas season and a Happy New Year! For questions or to volunteer, contact: Margie Reedy, reedygm@gmail.com, Mary Jourdak, msjourdak@gmail.com, or Bridgitte Bailey, bridgittebailey@mac.com
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus are holding their annual knitting and crocheting hats and scarves for the homeless in the Church Hall Sunday mornings. Please join us in making hats and scarves to help keep those less fortunate warm in these cold months. We have plenty of yarn for anyone who'd like to work on theirs at home. We also gratefully accept no sew fleece scarves and hats to give away too. See any Ladies Auxiliary member at the table selling Christmas cards and Advent wreaths and candles for questions, or contact Joni Kilgore. 443-758-7270.
