Today we celebrate the Holy Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Since it is the ultimate example of unity, it is a good opportunity to reflect on our own efforts to build unity here in our parish. In my short time here, I have found St. Christopher Parish to be a kind, caring community that strives to live out the command to love in unity with one another. It is always important to have a point of unity, and your pastor is this. I encourage you all to continue this and unite behind Fr. Gabage when he arrives and begins his ministry as your pastor. Make sure to try and put the other first, taking care of her/his needs before your own. Whether as an individual or part of a group, you will only build unity when you make the needs and projects of the other more important than your own. If everyone does this, St. Christopher will be known as a united parish, modelled on the Holy Trinity.
Next weekend will be my last here, and I pray that my short time here has been of some benefit. I can only speak for myself and say that it has been for me a time blessing and source of grace. I go to pastor the people of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish a better priest because of you, and I thank God for this experience with you. Thank you and God bless!
Have a great week, everyone. May God bless you and your loved ones!
Father Giuliano
