We have heard the Kingdom of God is at hand, and faith is the realization of things not seen. We are each called into a relationship with God – this is the faith of the Catholic Church; the faith that has been professed when we were baptized and when we profess our faith every Sunday.
We have been called to light the world on fire with the fervor of Christ. We have been commissioned to make a living difference in the world today. Each one of us, when we realize the power of God that dwells within us, is summoned to the greater good and into the Love of God.
As we have listened to the sacred Scriptures and received our Savior’s Body and Blood, we have been made participants in the journey of faith by what Jesus has said and done. His accomplishments are many, and we are sought after in the relationship of faith to continue to make those differences continue in the world.
Jesus is the leader and perfecter of faith because it is through Him that our humanity is saved. His actions become our actions when we unify ourselves to His purpose which is that of fulfilling the Father’s will.
Baptism with Jesus means there is a sacrifice that takes place. As Jesus died upon the cross, so too do we when we are washed clean in the font of baptism. We die to Christ that we might live with Him forever. We die to ourselves that Jesus, the perfected humanity might live in us and be known by those we encounter.
Let us Live Jesus and allow humanity to understand its true purpose – to Love one another as God has loved us!
