As the historical National Eucharistic Congress and the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage that took place mid-July 2024 were profound moments with unprecedented outpouring of Grace for the whole Church in the United States, and in light of the upcoming pivotal Diocese of Wilmington Eucharistic Congress scheduled for October 5, 2024 in Ocean City, our Saint Christopher’s Catholic parish is blessed to support the National Eucharistic Revival with this event of great spiritual, ecclesial, pastoral, and formational significance in the life of the Kent Island, and Maryland Eastern Shore Deanery.

This Eastern Shore Spiritual Eucharistic Nourishment (ESSE Nourishment) is a free event, at no cost to you.  Focused on The Two Pillars of Victory, ESSE Nourishment aims to share and deepen our insights on the pivotal role of the Eucharist – Real Presence of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ - in Catholic life and worship.

The Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit opened this major spiritual opportunity to nourish Eucharistic revival, spiritual growth, and faith formation in a family bonding and community building setting that, with the Grace of the Holy Spirit, will be a blessing for the Body of Christ and communities across the Easter Shore of Maryland and our Diocese of Wilmington. 
In addition to the exhibit, we have the blessing to engage in Eucharist praise and worship, venerate First-Class Relics, discern on the contents of a powerful Eucharistic video, get acquainted with a plethora of formative Eucharistic literature, receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation, participate in Eucharistic Adoration, and participate in Eucharistic Rosary to Blessed Virgin Mary.  ESSE Nourishment will culminate with Holy Mass and a Eucharistic Adoration Procession.

Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit

The Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit is a captivating experience showcasing about 150 documented miracles that took place over the ages in over 20 countries worldwide.  These Eucharistic miracles have been recognized by our Catholic Church. 

This exhibition includes panels with photographs, historical descriptions, and details about Eucharistic miracles.  It facilitates visitors to experience and deepen their faith and formation in the Real Presence of the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

“The Real Presence of Jesus Christ with His glorified Body is beyond the realm of purely sensory experience. The Eucharistic miracles, on the other hand, are extraordinary events concerning the Bread and Wine consecrated at Mass which can be experienced through the senses. They become a visible sign of the Real Presence of Jesus…By the way, as we shall see, a number of these miracles are continuing right through to the present time. Furthermore at Fatima, at Lourdes and elsewhere, Eucharistic miracles also continue to take place even though they are not always officially recognized by the Church. They are extraordinary events often unfortunately unknown even in the realm of Christianity.” (16 Eucharistic Miracles in Italy, Vocepiù, 1997)

The Eucharistic Miracles of the World Exhibit will be showcased in our Parish Hall.

Blessed Carlo Acutis & Veneration of First-Class Relic

We have the blessing to venerate a First-Class Relic of Blessed Carlo Acutis!

Blessed Carlo Acutis used his gifts to share this Eucharistic Miracles with us all! He is known as the first millennial saint. Pope Francis and the Consistory of Cardinal have approved his canonization and his sainthood will be proclaimed during the 2025 Jubilee. 

He died of leukemia at age15.  However, Carlo started cataloging Eucharistic Miracles around the world when he was 11 years old.  At the time, he wrote “The more Eucharist we receive, the more we will become like Jesus so that on this earth we will have a foretaste of Heaven.” He asked his parents to start taking him to all the places of the Eucharistic miracles, and two and half years later the project was completed.

Blessed Carlo Acutis researched over 136 Eucharistic miracles that occurred over the centuries in different countries around the world, and have been acknowledged by the Church and collected them into a virtual museum.  Besides creating a website to house this virtual museum, he helped create panel presentations that have traveled around the world.
